Nashville trash pickup: find your pickup day

Pickup day depends on your exact address, and Metro changed collection schedules in early 2026. Search your address to see your trash and recycling days — no account, no signup, just the schedule.

Prefer the city's lookup? Metro's schedule tool shows the same day. KAIRO shows it alongside your other utilities and can remind you the night before pickup.

How Metro curbside service works

Metro Nashville provides curbside trash and recycling to most homes inside the Urban Services District at no extra charge. There is no account to open: if your address is Metro-served, collection simply happens on your street's schedule, typically once per week for trash, with recycling on its own calendar.

Some addresses are served by private haulers instead of Metro, and trash billing is sometimes bundled with a Metro Water account. If you are unsure which applies to your home, look up your address before assuming either way.

The 2026 schedule change moved pickup days for many streets, so a day you have relied on for years may no longer be right. Checking takes a few seconds with the search above.
